hairandbeauty.co.za Privacy and Security policy.

This policy has been drafted in accordance with recognised best practices guidelines, and fair trade recommendations, for online security, and internet privacy.

These recommendations and guidelines are:

· Notice. We will supply you with full disclosure of what personal information is taken, and how it is used.

· Choice. Consumers at hairandbeauty.co.za will be given a choice on how their information gets used.

· Access. Once our consumers have disclosed their personal information to us, they may apply for access to that information at any time, and may change it, or choose to have it removed from our records at any time.

· Security. Personal Information that is disclosed on our website is required to be secure, to ensure that this information stays private.

· Redress. Consumers should have a way to resolve problems that may arise, regarding the sites’ use and disclosure of their personal information.

This Privacy and Security policy and statement applies only to hairandbeauty.co.za. Its employees, third party service providers, agents, owners, directors, officers, contractors, subcontractors, and their officers are required to honour this statement.

Glossary of some terms that we use in this policy.

Corporate Affiliate: This is an entity owned by, or under common ownership with, hair and beauty.co.za. Such entities will appear in this policy, at such a time that our ownership/ partnership with such entities occur.

Sales Affiliate: This is a person, company, or organisation, which has joined hairandbeauty.co.za’s affiliate program. Such a program, while planned for the future, does not currently exist. When such a program is initiated for this website, this policy will be updated to show the name(s) of its administrator(s).

Personal information: This is any information that identifies you, such as your business address, business telephone and facsimile numbers, and business email address. It may also include your credit card number.

Business Partner: This is an entity with which hairandbeauty.co.za has an ongoing business relationship to provide data analysis, assist in developing our website, or provide marketing services or specialised products or services, or information to visitors of our site.

The two types of Data Gathering.

We gather two types of data on our website.

Form Data: This is personally identifiable information which our customers freely submit to us through forms on our website.

Analytical Data: This is information which relates to our user’s browsing patterns, browser software, and preferences, as well as the gathering of information regarding ip (internet protocol) addresses and other internet usage information. The Personal Information that we collect, and how it is gathered and used.

Personal information is collected in the following ways:

1. Form Information.

In order for any purchase or booking to be made on our website, our customers must provide the following two types of personal information.

HAIR/SKIN DETAILS: Since our services are directly relevant to personal hair, beauty, and makeup services, we require pre-booking details about our clients hair, such as length, hair type, allergies, etc. As our hair, beauty, and makeup services become more prevalent in terms of online bookings, similar information may be required as pertains to these three services, such as skin type, allergies and possibly, basic health details. This information is required to better cater and prepare for your visits, as well as provide accurate price quotes for services booked. Certain hairdressing services our priced in accordance with hair length and thickness.

PERSONAL DETAILS:

This relates to personally identifiable information which, any person desiring to book services, or buy products on our site, hairandbeauty.co.za, must provide, through our online booking/purchasing forms. This information will include, but is not limited to; home and work telephone numbers, addresses, email addresses, names, and credit card numbers. Currently we do not facilitate any form of online purchasing.

2. Analytical Data.

We currently do not make use of third party service providers, however, should we decide to do so, we will update our policy in order to reflect such information, including the company names providing this service to us. Should we decide to use analytic software, and service providers on our site, they may use cookies on our behalf, and may receive information about your buying and browsing, habits, as well you’re booking preferences. These service providers may also collect certain technical information from your computer each time you visit hairabdbeauty.co.za. This information may include your internet protocol address, your computer’s operating system, browser type, and the address of a referring website, if any. Third party service providers may collect this information to help us enhance the quality of your experience during your visit to our site, and will not sell or rent this information. Should we make use of such service providers, they shall be prohibited from using in any manner, the information obtained in the course of providing those services to hairbeauty.co.za, other than to help us provide you with the best possible browsing, booking, or shopping experience on our site.

Our use of Gifs – We employ Gifs, also known as web beacons, which are small graphics with unique identifiers, similar to cookies, which we use to track the online movements of web users. We also use clear Gifs in our html based emails to let us know which emails the recipient has opened, and enable us to gauge the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.

Our use of Cookies – For the purposes of improving our site, to make it more responsive to you, we use cookie technology. The use of cookies on our site enables us to gather aggregate information on our visitors, how they use our site and which pages they visit. Cookies are used when you register on our site so that we remember your areas of interest and any information that you have voluntarily provided and saved.

Cookies are also used to track shopping cart items or services which you have reserved during a single booking session, helping us to maintain your reservations profile.

Online Membership Registration – We currently do not operate an online membership program, but may choose to do so in the future.

Email Newsletters – From time to time, we may create newsletters which relate to our website, or contain news, information and great links, directly relevant to the content of our site, and the services we provide. For your convenience, when making a booking or purchase on hairandbeauty.co.za, the option to receive our periodic newsletters, and promotions is pre-checked. If you do not want to receive this service, simply uncheck the “Yes” box, before submitting your form, or access the “unsubscribe” link in our email messages.

Email A Friend Messages – We may in future make this service available for our visitors. Making use of this option will require you to provide your email address as well as the recipients email address to allow you to send a personal greeting with your information. We make no use of the email address or information contained in these greetings except, except to complete the service which you have requested. We require that you have obtained the consent and permission of the recipient of your message to provide us such a persons email address for the purpose of sending the message and any attached information.

Special Offers – The option to receive special offers from us, is pre-checked to “YES” along with the option to receive our free newsletters. Should you not require to make use of these offers or receive them, simply uncheck this box before submitting your information. If you have opted in to this service, and at a later stage desire to opt out, simply click on the “Unsubscribe” link on the email that we send you. Surveys – Occasionally hairandbeauty.co.za conducts voluntary surveys through this website or directly through emails. These surveys ask customers and clients for background information and information about their preferences. You are under no obligation to be a part of such surveys. You may opt out of our email based surveys at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link. The information which hairandbeauty.co.za collects through surveys is aggregated and is used to better serve our customers by helping us determine our customer’s hair, beauty, makeup, and glamour preferences, and requirements, and improve customer satisfaction with this site. We do not sell any of the information gathered in these surveys, but may choose to share the results of the survey with our Corporate or Business Affiliates in accordance with this statement.

There are known methods that spammers use to hide their identity by using other peoples email addresses to send out emails. How to control marketing you receive from us.

To be removed from our postal mailing list, please email us at info@hairandbeauty.co.za Include your emailadress, names, telephone number and a note of instruction, or alternatively simply use the “Unsubscribe” link in our emails.

The Personal Information that we share, and who we share it with.

Hairandbeauty.co.za may share your personal information with our Corporate affiliates, as necessary to complete a transaction that you specifically request, or for use making our business and that of our corporate affiliates more responsive to your needs.

Under certain agreements we may make segments of your personal information available to other organizations as noted below:

Glamour Service Providers – We will provide the relevant contact information for you, as you have provided it to us, whether through online forms or any other online or email transaction, to the service providers which you have chosen to book, or make your reservation with. The information which we supply to service providers is limited to: Your Names, Contact Numbers, details on your hair, face, product preferences, and services chosen by you. In certain cases we may provide your email address to service providers, for purposes of rescheduling, amending, or confirming your booking. We also provide you with such service providers/businesses contact details.

Sales Affiliates – We currently do not have our own sales affiliate program, however we may choose to develop, use, and administer such a program in the future. Sale affiliates earn money by linking customers to our site from their sites. We may choose to use an independent administer for such an online program. Such an administer will have access to aggregated sales information of the participating affiliates and the resulting earnings, but its use of this information is only permitted in connection with its administration of our online affiliate programs. We will not share your personal information with such an administrator.

Business Partners – We currently do not engage in ecommercre on our site, however we do foresee doing so in the future. The following policy outlines our planned future, ecommerce activities and intentions.

The agreements between hairandbeauty.co.za and ecommerce websites for which we may manage ecommerce services for their ecommerce webpage(s), may also include hyperlink agreements by which these ecommerce websites earn money by linking their website customers to our website. These hyperlink agreements will not be part of any online affiliate programs mentioned in this policy.

Because of any future agreements with these ecommerce sites, we may disclose to these ecommerce sites for whom we may operate and manage their ecommerce services, the aggregate information about customers who purchase goods, or book services via the web pages managed and operated by hairandbeauty.co.za on behalf of a third party. We may choose to use third party service providers, to help us gather and analyse our customers activities on our site. Such companies’ only role is to help us deliver the most relevant products and services to you. The information that we share with such companies is anonymous, meaning that none of your identifiable personal information will be received by, or shared with these companies. The only exception to the sharing of anonymous information will be the sharing of our Opt In email mailing address list. In this instance our third party service providers will be assisting us in improving our email offers to you by analysing any request you might have.
